Thousands of school districts across the nation have students participate in local- and state-level poster design competitions that promote important safety messaging during National School Bus Safety Week (NSBSW). Many of those local competitions become part of February’s Love the Bus month celebrations before the submission deadline at the month’s end.

Educators are encouraged to include the young artistic talent in their schools to help spread the word about the importance of the school bus through this friendly competition.

The 2022 NSBSW theme is:
1 Bus + 1 Driver = a BIG Impact on Education

Winning posters of those local competitions can be submitted to their  state director of pupil transportation office, who then decide on no more than five state winners to submit to the national competition. More information about the contest are at napt.org/postercontest. Instructions for submission can be downloaded here. Good luck!
